Vivian Rivera Drohan, Partner, is the head of the firm’s Litigation Practice. Her practice encompasses commercial, investment, employment, and intellectual property litigation. Her experience includes federal and state trial and appellate litigation, as well as arbitration and mediation, including international dispute resolution before various arbitration forums such as American Arbitration Association, and Swiss Chamber’s Arbitration Institution, and various regulatory and self-regulatory agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Human Rights Division, Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Commodities Futures Trading Commission and National Futures Association. She was a Partner with Drohan & Drohan LLP from 1995 until that firm’s merger with Lee & Kelley in 2007. Currently, Ms. Drohan’s clients include insureds, public and private investors and issuers, investment funds and managers, banks and brokers, as well as hospitality providers and start-ups. Prior to 1995, Ms. Drohan served six years as a Trial Attorney with in-house counsel for Crum & Forster Insurance where she handled an extensive insurance litigation docket involving construction and insurance policy coverage matters in addition to appellate work.
Ms. Drohan is a FINRA and American Arbitration Association approved arbitrator. She is also a member of the Federal Bar Association, President of the Women’s Bar Association, The Puerto Rican Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association. She is also on the Board of Directors and a Vice President for the New York Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association, in addition to being co-chair of the Federal Practice and Membership Committees.
