Litigation Practice

Drohan Lee’s Litigation Practice has significant experience and a record of success in resolving a variety of business and commercial disputes, particularly in employment and complex securities, commodities and investment transaction litigation.

The firm regularly represents clients in court litigation, mediation and arbitration in a variety of commercial, employment and intellectual property matters. We have handled large breach-of-contract cases including disputes regarding redemption provisions of investment funds, quality of goods ordered and timeliness of delivery, insurance coverage issues, performance under license agreements, infringement of licensing agreements and intellectual property, audit issues and the interpretation of complex agreements involving services in numerous industries.

Drohan Lee attorneys have substantial experience representing investment banks and brokerage firms and their management and employees in a wide range of disputes relating to and arising from securities, commodities, futures and foreign exchange trading. We routinely defend our clients against claims asserted by institutional and retail customers, such as those alleging fraud, unauthorized exercise of discretion, churning, unsuitability, failure to supervise, improper margin calls, unfair securities liquidations and failure to hedge a concentrated position. In addition, Drohan Lee is experienced in handling high-stakes litigation in a broad range of employment disputes. We pride ourselves in being able to offer veteran counsel and advice with judgment and perspective in employment matters.

We have represented our clients in state and federal courts around the country, as well as arbitration sponsored by self-regulatory organizations and exchanges, including the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the National Futures Association and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. We have appeared in international and domestic arbitrations administered by the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. Our practice extends into complex and groundbreaking appellate work.
